A little rain, a bit of wine and Pike Place Market

The weathermen in Seattle says it’s going to be wet. Being a native Northwesterner means getting out and about this weekend, travelling, tasting and doing a bit of shopping at The Pike Place Market in Seattle, while the rain pours all around us.

A trendy, cutting edge twist on the typical wine tasting scene, Vinolution 21 will be highlighting new and up and coming wineries of Washington State.  Enjoy music and a live auction while tasting wines from select Washington State Vintners paired with dishes from celebrity and local chefs and sustainable food sources.  Local spirits and beers will also be featured this evening.  Proceeds will benefit The Market Foundation.   www.vinolution.org

Farm Days at The Pike Place Market

The Market is open year round, but June 23rd the farmers take to the streets.  When the Market opened in 1907 local farmers lined the street and every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday through September, Pike Place north of Pine Street will be filled with tents and local farmers.  On Sunday’s Stewart to Virginia Street is closed to vehicle traffic where you can enjoy cooking demonstrations by some of Seattle’s top culinary talent.  For more info and Chef’s bios, please click here.
