Celebrity Inspired Wines; Perfect for Mothers Day

For all of the wonderful Mother’s out there who do such a fantastic job of taking care of your family, if anybody deserves to have a great wine, it is you.

If you happen to be shopping for a great wine for Mom this week, why not look into a few celebrity owned wines because let’s face it, every mom is a celebrity to someone.

If you can find it, look into the new wine from Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, the Miraval Rose’. This wine is produced with the help of the Perrin family. On the nose this wine shows hints of floral and strawberry with raspberry and citrus flavors. This wine is refreshing with a long finish. The wine is a blend of Cinsault and Grenache and will be great to sip on Mother’s Day.

Perhaps Mom is looking for a little Italian flare? Check out Sister Moon, a red wine from Tuscany. This winery is owned by Sting and his wife, Trudie Styler.  A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sangiovese, this wine has aromas of licorice and intense flavors of cherry, blackberry and spice. Mom will be thanking you for this one.

sangiovese 5 8 2013Staying with the Tuscan theme, how about the Bocelli Rosso Toscano Sangiovese. If you the name didn’t give it away, this winery is owned by Alberto and his famous brother, Andrea Bocelli. A great pick for Mom, this wine pairs nicely with a variety of foods. It is 100% Sangiovese with flavors of cherry and an earthy profile that makes this wine a must try.

Finally, we come to the Dreaming Tree Crush. A collaboration between winemaker Steve Reeder and Dave Matthews. A great value and honestly, a pretty easy drinking wine. Aromas of floral and berries with a raspberry jam flavor, Mom is going to be happy with this wine, especially if she is a fan of Dave.

All of these wines bring something different to the table. They are fun, new wines to try and something to present Mom with on her special day. To all of those mom’s out there, thank you. We appreciate everything you do.
