Northwesterner’s have been feeling the chill in the air this past week, as clouds hung low and rain set in. Drinking a hot cocktail to warm the bones on a cool summer night in front of a small backyard fire is the perfect way to finish any day, which is why my heart jumped a beat when I spied Shaun the Bartender’s tempting post.
- 3/4 oz. Coffee Liqueur (Kahlua)
- 3/4 oz. Brandy
- Hot Coffee
- Whipped Cream
- Dark Crème de Cacao
Method: Begin by pouring the measured amounts of coffee liqueur and brandy in an Irish coffee mug. Pour the hot coffee into the glass, to about a 1/2 inch from the top. Take two stir sticks and lay them atop the mug. This will give you a structure for the whipped cream you are now going to add atop the drink. Pour some dark crème de cacao on top of the whipped cream.
