A Dazzling Creation; French Martini

French MartiniThe days are beginning to shorten and the moon seems to rise a bit earlier. Summer nights are still warm and a night on the porch sipping a fantastic cocktail is a great way to end the day.

I have a weakness for the taste of the delicious raspberry, which is why Shaun the Bartender’s dazzling French Martini, using Chambord, caught my eye.

After you whip one of these up for yourself, pop over to Shaun the Bartender’s site,  poke around a bit and sign up for the drink of the day so you don’t miss a single post.

French Martini

  • 1 1/2 oz. Vodka
  • 1 oz. Chambord (Raspberry Liqueur)
  • 1 1/2 oz. Pineapple Juice

Method:  In a shaker glass with ice, pour in the ingredients to measure.  Cap off with a tin and shake well.  Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

The drink is named for the one ingredient that seems to take it to the next level – Chambord.  This raspberry liqueur, along with the vodka and pineapple juice, taste so well together that you have to question why they are ever separate.
