Yes, my friends, Beers Made by Walking is the brewchild of Eric Steen. It’s a really basic and creatively flavorful concept wherein Eric collaborates with brewers in various parts of the country and….well, heck – read for yourself.

There’s an event coming up where you can taste them so I highly encourage you to take a short trip and try these one of a kind, never to be repeated beers. Made by walking.

Using herbs and plants in beer is as old as beer making itself, especially when you consider you’re already enjoying plants in the beer (grains and hops). I’m betting you can pair delicious fall fare with these beers as well so have fun with the bonus exploration BMBW provides.

Read all about it, plan to get to one of the tapping events, and keep walking to great beer.

Till the next glass –

Try This: The book Sacred and Herbal Healing Beers by Stephen Harrod Buhner is an intriguing read for anyone interested in herbs. It’d be a gift in good taste for the beer lover as well.

Go Here: Portland is the site of the next tasting and tapping event – here’s the mash. Ten breweries have made a tasty beer for the event AND the proceeds have a benefactor.  Enjoy your beer and help others at the same time!
