We Wish You A Beery Christmas by Ginger Johnson

ImageWith a nod to popular culture songs and good cheer this time of year, enjoy the following re-worded carols.

Go ahead – sing them out loud in the shower, share them with friends, and serenade strangers. They’ll surely bring smiles and ‘tis the season!

We Wish You A Beery Christmas (We Wish You A Merry Christmas)

We wish you a beery Christmas, we wish you a beery Christmas, we wish you a beery Christmas – and a growler to go!

Good drinking to you, with food and good cheer – we wish you a beery Christmas, and another fresh beer!

Jingle Beer (Jingle Bells)

Jingle Beer, Jingle Beer, Jingle all the way –

Oh what fun it is to drink, a fresh new beer today – hey!

Jingle beer, jingle beer, jingle all the way –

Oh what fun it is to pair some beer and food today.

Dashing through the store – in an almost open run

With my cart in front – looking for the beer!

Bells at cashier ring, making buyers glad –

Looking for that perfect beer to give my mom or dad. OH!

Jingle Beer, jingle beer, jingle all the way.

Oh what fun it is to drink a fresh new beer today – hey!

Jingle beer, jingle beer, jingle all the way –

Oh what fun the hol’days are, only days away!

Bubb-l-ing, bubb-l-ing (Caroling, Caroling)

Bubb-l-ing, bubb-l-ing, through the night – yeast is happy eating,

Fer-ment-ing, fer-ment-ing soon to drop – flocculation’s ceasing.

Mighty brew to beer I sing, tasty bev’rage soon to drink –

Please pour, one more – happy tasty Christmas!

Go Here: Music abounds in the holiday season. Seek out and attend a musical concert or recital and support your local and traveling musicians. Me thinks many musicians support our local breweries too!

Try This: Invent your own holiday songs. Take a song you know already, rewrite the words and have a bunch of silly fun! It’s a good party game too: write down a bunch of short popular songs, put them in a bowl, and re-write the songs in teams. Oh – be sure to have a delicious beverage close by for inspiration.
