Soul Camp East – Honesdale, PA

Soul Camp West – Sanger, CA

Whether or not they attended camp as a youth, adults who want to rediscover the free-spirited fun of trying new activities, making new friends and finding a new sense of self surrounded by nature can now register for the East or West Coast Soul Camp 2015.

Soul Camp East, a 4-day mind/body/spirit immersion, will return to Camp Towanda, where Wet Hot American Summer was filmed, in Honesdale, PA on September 9-13, 2015.  A top-of-the-line, luxury, coed sleepaway camp nestled in the rolling countryside of Northeastern Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains that’s just 2 ½ hours from NYC and Philadelphia, Camp Towanda was the site of the first Soul Camp in 2014 and where event founders Ali Leipzig and Michelle Goldblum both spent their summers as children. This year, a second camp will be held October 28-31 at Wonder Valley, one of California’s premier camps nestled at the foothills of the Sierra-Nevada mountain range.

Soul Camp / FacebookBoth Soul Camps will offer a chance to unplug from the ordinary and re-connect mind, body and spirit. From morning reveille to lights out, campers come together to participate in a range of activities spanning from yoga, meditation, dance, bootcamps, paddleboarding, breathwork, organic farming, arts & crafts, mala-bead making and so much more. The camps will also feature live entertainment and a speaker series where campers can escape and listen to inspiring and empowering “SOUL-versations” from wellness experts and thought leaders in their fields.

As the sun sets on a day full activities, nights will consist of talent shows, fear burnings, late night discos, s’mores and entertainment. MC YOGI is the headline act for Soul Camp East, while DJ Tasha Blank will have campers dancing well into the night at Soul Camp West.

“Soul Camp was a way for us to travel back in time to our favorite camp days, and simultaneously become super grounded in the present, while we also help our future selves – yes, all that in one weekend,” said Soul Camp Co-Founder Michelle Goldblum. “We were ecstatic with the response from so many other people eager to experience the same thing.”

Soul Camp pricing starts at $1,100 per person and includes cabin-style accommodations, activities and three meals and snacks daily that include a delicious, gourmet menu with gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan & vegetarian options served family style. Goldblum said that while the food will focus on clean eating and healthy, farm-to-table fare, there will still be plenty of camp-essential treats like late-night cookies and milk.

Goldblum noted that with each Soul Camp ticket purchase, campers will receive a KarmaKarma Gift Card. These cards will enable campers to donate to a charity of their choice, “allowing campers, after re-connecting with their soul, to use it to guide their decisions on how they want to make an impact on the world.”

Tickets to Soul Camp East and West can be purchased at http://soul.camp/. Soul Camper luxury shuttle busses to Camp Towanda from NYC and to Wonder Valley from both San Francisco and Los Angeles will be available at checkout.
