Shaun the Bartender concocts and posts a cocktail of the day, each and every day, on his site.  He has so graciously given us permission to pop in, poke around and pull one of his creations over to our site.  There are so many tasty potions that I find it difficult to choose.

This weeks pick, Devil’s Cocktail drew me in with the gorgeous glowing green color and list of ingredients. The name sealed it.

Devil’s Cocktail

  • 1 1/2 oz. Brandy
  • 3/4 oz. Dry Vermouth
  • 1/2 oz. Blue Curacao
  • 2 Dashes Aromatic Bitters
  1. Method:  Begin by pouring the measured amounts of brandy, dry vermouth, and blue curacao into a mixing glass filled with ice.  Shake well, then strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
  2. Take an orange rind and twist it over the drink to allow the oils from the rind to disperse onto the glass, then rub it on the rim before dropping it into the drink.  Add a couple dashes of bitters.  Stir the bitters in with a stir stick, then serve.

…bars are places where people congregate in another fashion to enjoy their neighbor and discuss current goings-on and to keep up with people who live in the same area.  The word “Pub” is short for “Public House” and is what bars were known as in England hundreds of years ago.  – Shaun Daugherty

I do recommend that you take a moment and watch Shaun concoct this little beauty right here.  Also, pop over to his site and hit the follow button.  There is a new cocktail every day for your imbibing and entertaining pleasure.
