Karie is the mother of the amazing three, author and founder of basil & salt magazine, creator and co-host “taking the back roads” prime video travel series and creator and co-host of “martinis & mocktails”.

She lives in the pacific northwest with her cat and enjoys decadent cuisine, ambrosial wines, jazzy cocktails and even better conversation. When she’s not working she likes to travel and walk on beaches at low tide.

With over 3 decades of experience, Chef Palin has traveled the world. His cooking journeys have taken him to Australia, the USA, France, Mexico, the deserts of India and the jungles of Borneo. He has sipped cocktails on Santorini and danced in the South of France.

With a love for all things food and creative people, he also has a passion for cookbooks, art, movies, and books. He admires creative people and is inspired by great writers like the American author John Steinbeck and French novelist Emile Zola.

Jason lives a simple life in the UK and when time allows, visits his retreat in Portugal.

Sunnie lives in the Pacific Northwest with her three children, husky named Brodie, 2 lamancha goats, kune kune pig, rabbit and cat. Majoring in nutrition and biology, Sunnie has a deep passion for food and cooking. Her hobbies inlcude gardening, landscaping and refurbishing furniture.

Veronica is a mom of happy chaos with a passion for baking. She is currently enrolled in the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts, Pastry Certification Program to officially become a Pastry Chef and Cake Baker. Veronica lives in the Pacific Northwest near the Rainforest where she and her partner share their home with 5 children, 3 large dogs and 3 tuxedo cats.

Suzzie London is the creator and author of “The Last Date”.
Best described as vanilla with a side of sass, Ms. London’s humorous dating stories are famous within her social circle.

Believing there is more to romance than flowers and chocolates, she looks for quick wit, humor, warmth, sincerity and the combination of ingredients that lead to that “magic” chemistry.

When Suzzie isn’t dating or tapping out stories, you can find her beachcombing for heart-shaped rocks.

New Englander Duncan Chase first dropped roots in Seattle nearly 30 years ago. During his time in the Emerald City, Duncan has crafted cocktail menus for Seattle and Bellevue restaurants, offered cocktail classes for auction at charities as well as courses for the public at Seattle Art Museum’s Restaurant, TASTE.

The past 10 years have found Duncan teaching monthly whisk(e)y and spirits classes at a variety of leading events such as Scotch & Vine as well as restaurants and other venues.

Cocktail creation has been a part of every position, particularly at TASTE where Duncan crafted cockails for exhibits, film series, and individual artists. Recognized for his skill, Duncan was named one of the 20 United States finalists for the first Diageo World Class with US participation.

“taking the back roads”, prime video series

Sean’s 20 years of bartending experience at Award winning restaurants, bars and private clubs in California, coupled with his background teaching history, provides an exceptional learning environment for craft cocktails and their origins. He’s mentored under great barmen like Black Donaldson, Adam Aro and Brian Van Flandern. He earned his ‘margarita wings’ after years of mixing drinks at legendary haunts in the Southbay like Portofino Hotel, Shade Hotel and Hennessey’s Tavern.
