Narrated by Emmy Award-winning actress Andrea Martin, best known for “Only Murders in the Building,” this profound film brings together a notable cast of voices from the Armenian diaspora. Among them are actor Eric Bogosian of “Succession,” acclaimed author Chris Bohjalian of HBO’s “The Flight Attendant,” Pulitzer Prize-winning author Peter Balakian with “Black Dog of Fate,” journalist Araksya Karapetyan from “Good Day LA,” Dawn Anahid Mackeen, the mind behind “The Hundred-Year Walk,” Conan O’Brien’s celebrated assistant Sona Movsesian, and Bishop Mesrop Parsamyan, Primate of the Eastern Diocese of NY. Additional insights are provided by educator Dottie Bengoian, internationally renowned artist Michael Aram, comedian Vahe Berberian, and scholars Ron Suny and Salpi Ghazarian.

The documentary “ARMENIA, MY HOME” is an ode to the vibrant and independent Armenian Republic, tracing its nearly 3,000-year-old history as the world’s first Christian nation. It navigates through Armenia’s diverse landscapes, from ancient monasteries in the northern forests to the Hellenistic temple of Garni, against the breathtaking backdrop of the Caucasian mountains and the iconic Mount Ararat. By weaving epic historical narratives with the everyday lives of its people, set against the hauntingly beautiful strains of Armenian music, the film creates a deep emotional resonance with the Armenian American heritage that has survived through millennia.

“For so many that we interviewed in this film, Armenia is more than a country, it’s a part of who they are – a community that has survived and flourished, despite untold enemies who sought to conquer them. This is more than a story of a nation, it is the story of some of the most resilient people alive,” director Andrew Goldberg reflects on the profound connection his interviewees have with their homeland.

Emmy Award-winning actress Andrea Martin shared her enthusiasm for the project, stating, “It’s an honor to narrate this documentary exploring Armenia’s storied past and vibrant culture. As an Armenian-American, I am deeply connected to our ancient history and thrilled to be partnering on this project.”

The visual splendor of “ARMENIA, MY HOME” is brought to life with state-of-the-art cameras and drones, thanks to a cinematography team known for their work on “Thor: Love and Thunder” and the forthcoming “Mad Max Furiosa.” This pioneering approach has resulted in an unparalleled visual representation of Armenia.

Further enriching the narrative, the documentary invites viewers into a 2,000-year-old dungeon, offering a glimpse into the ancient and mysterious aspects of Armenian history. Alongside its breathtaking landscapes, “ARMENIA, MY HOME” delves into critical historical events such as the Armenian Genocide and the recent war in Artsakh, underscoring their significance and impact on the Armenian psyche.
