Breitling and Alvin Goldfarb Jeweler are proud to support the Honor Flight organization with a one-of-kind timepiece created to pay tribute to World War II veterans. Proceeds from the limited edition Honor Flight watch by Breitling support Honor Flight’s mission to send veterans to visit the memorial dedicated to their service in Washington, DC, free of charge. Alvin Goldfarb Jeweler is the official retailer of the only Washington piece in existence.

“I know firsthand how much this journey means to veterans,” said Breitling USA President Thierry Prissert. “Honor Flight is a wonderful organization and it is very meaningful to be able to thank veterans for their lifetime of service and dedication by supporting it. Without Honor Flight, many veterans would not have the chance to visit their memorials, because it is financially or physically difficult. Time is running out for many of them, especially veterans of World War II; there really is no time to wait. This particular piece is also special because it is number 42 out of 56, representing the state of Washington, the only one of its kind.”

According to the Department of Veterans Affairs, an estimated 640 World War II veterans die each day. Honor Flight fulfills the dreams of U.S. veterans and helps our heroes travel absolutely free to Washington, D.C. to visit their memorial as a thank you for their service.

Based on the iconic Breitling Navitimer 01 timepiece, the Honor Flight limited edition watch features the Honor Flight logo on the dial and two special engravings on the caseback. Each caseback is decorated with the wreath and bracket © Raymond Kasky, the memorial creator and artist, along with the inspirational statement, “Honor Flight – One Last Mission.” This special commemorative timepiece is equipped with Breitling’s in-house mechanical chronograph movement and features an exclusive five-year warranty.

Fifty-six of the Limited Edition pieces have been released, one for each of the United States and territories, including Washington. To date, Breitling has donated $150,000 to Honor Flight Network, which made it possible for nearly 300 veterans from San Diego and Wisconsin to visit Washington, DC.

“Honor Flight Network is incredibly appreciative of Breitling’s generous donation. Their contribution will impact veterans and their families for years to come.” says Honor Flight Network Co-Founder Jeff Miller. “Breitling’s gift made several Honor Flights possible; many veterans on those flights would not have made it had they been forced to wait. Breitling’s contribution donation changed lives.”

To further its support, Breitling auctioned the Wisconsin timepiece to raise funds for the national Honor Flight Network organization. Wisconsin was chosen because of the role the state played in the award-winning documentary Honor Flight: One Last Mission, which brought national attention to the organization.
