The mid-winter blahs are settling in, which means it’s time to kick it up a notch or two. It’s tough to plan a vacation around work and school every other month, wouldn’t that be a “multi” joyful experience, so bringing a touch of summer to a cold February day is a necessity. A really good milkshake is a great thing and a boozy milkshake is an even better one.

The recipes are simple, plug in the blender and let it do it’s job.
As I was reading the ingredients list for this first post, I was a tad unsure about the combination of flavors. However, I can tell you with absolute certainty now, they blend very well, but then again, it’s Saveur Magazine. Of course it’s delicious.
Peanut Butter Bourbon Milkshake
- 2 oz. bourbon
- ½ oz. maple syrup
- ¼ cup crunchy peanut butter
- 1 cup vanilla ice cream
- 1 cup ice cubes
A post for milkshakes “grown up”, simply isn’t complete without an ode to BAILEYS®. With such fabulous flavors at your fingertips, Original Irish Cream, with a hint of hazelnut, with a hint of mint chocolate, with a hint of caramel and with a hint of coffee, the milkshake possibilities are endless.
BAILEYS® Caramel Milkshakes
- 2 scoops of vanilla ice-cream,
- 4 tablespoons of Baileys just a touch of Caramel
- 5 ice cubes (or just a handful)
- 1 1/4 cups of milk
- 1 can of whipped cream, garnish
- chocolate for grating, garnish
Just the thought of a hot summer afternoon on the back porch with a cold boozy drink, sets my imagination on fire as my heart lusts for summer. A ripe juicy peach is the personification of late August days.
The Peaches & Cream
- 4 cups vanilla ice cream
- 2 ripe peaches, peeled and chopped
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 4 oz. amaretto liqueur
- 2 oz. peach schnapps
Add all ingredients to the blender and puree approx 30 seconds until smooth.
Perfect desserts with a straw!! xo
We still have some frozen peaches from the summer. All three look great!
