Taste Washington: Seattle’s Premier Wine and Food Event Kicks Off Today

Annual Event Pours Exceptional Wine, Offers National and Local Chef Tastings and Creates New Excursions 

Taste Washington IIHundreds of wineries, restaurants and related exhibitors from throughout Washington State all under one roof for one adventurous weekend.

Seattle’s premier wine and food event, includes four exciting days of tastings, experiences, eating and learning, March 31 through April 3rd, 2016.

Here is what is on the docket:

Red & White Party (March 31) 7 to 10 p.m. at AQUA by El Gaucho

An elegant affair in your red and white best at AQUA by El Gaucho. Enjoy exclusive pours from 25 Washington State wineries and culinary pairings from Executive Chef Wesley Hood.

Taste Washington on the Farm (April 1) sold out

Three unique lunch excursions join together local farmers, Washington State winemakers, Seattle celebrity chefs and artisan cheese makers.

The New Vintage (April 1) 7 to 10 p.m. at Motif Seattle Hotel

The New Vintage is stylish, energized and undeniably fun. This upbeat event is complete with a backdrop of celebrity chef tasting stations, DJ Tina T and winemakers.  This year’s event will feature a new rosé lounge, serving up a variety of Washington rosé wines and new chefs: Derek Ronspies of Le Petit Cochon, Steven Ariel of Trace, Jason Stratton of Mamnoon, Stuart Lane of Artusi, David Yeo of The Triple Door and Audrey Spence of Frolik Kitchen. 

Seminars (April 2 and 3) 10 a.m. to noon at Four Seasons Seattle Hotel

Taste Washington seminars feature renowned experts from across the nation leading in-depth explorations of Washington State wine. 

Grand Tasting (April 2 and 3) The event you don’t want to miss.  Hours vary from 1 to 5 p.m. at CenturyLink Field Event Center

The 19th annual Taste Washington features more than 225 Washington State wineries pouring their favorite wines and more than 65 Northwest restaurants serving specially-prepared bites throughout two days. VIP and General Admission tickets available.

Now in its 19th year, Taste Washington is the nation’s largest single-region wine and food event and the premier showcase of Washington State wines and culinary experience. The event will be attended by more 5,000 people and will feature more than 800 wines and an estimated 200,000 wine pours.

Hotel Packages: Taste Washington Hotel Packages are offered at 14 Seattle-area hotels, encouraging visitors to drink, eat, learn and stay in Seattle.
