I am in love with this Friday Cocktail and Shaun is correct, the combination of flavors are irresistible!  Rum is always a summer favorite of mine and as we are moving in to spring, yes I know just barely, I am preparing my liquor cabinet and collecting recipes.

Little Green Car

  • 1/2 oz. Rum
  • 1/2 oz. Gin
  • 1/2 oz. Melon Liqueur
  • 1/2 oz. Coffee Liqueur
  • 1/2 oz. Hazelnut Liqueur
  • 1 Wedge of Lemon
  • 1 Wedge of Lime
  • 1 Wedge of Orange
  • Pineapple Juice
  • Tonic Water

Method:  In a pint glass with ice, pour in the measured amounts of liquor.  Squeeze in the lemon, lime, and orange wedges, then discard the wedges.  Pour pineapple juice in leaving about an inch and a half of room.  Cap with a tin and shake, not overdoing it so you can keep the foam down.  Pour back into the pint glass, then top off with tonic water.  Garnish with a half wheel of orange and lime.

Amazing how coffee liqueur compliments the other flavors.  In fact, it gives you a boldness that seems to be missing in other fruit drinks.
