I am dreaming of warmer days and sun-kissed beaches. Fortunately, Shaun the Bartender has created the perfect cocktail to transport me to a tropical paradise.
Grilling seafood and sipping cocktails made of rum and fruit juice(s) are always on the menu on hot summer evenings, however, here in the Northwest we are still watching cool rain fall from sky while we wait for spring. I am going to sip and savor this intoxicating delight while dreaming of palm trees lightly swaying to warm breezes.
Caribbean Sunset
- 1 1/2 oz. Spiced Rum
- 1 oz. Lemon-Lime Soda
- 1 oz. Ginger Ale
- 1 oz. Orange Juice
- 1/2 oz. Grenadine
Method: In a highball glass with ice, begin by pouring in the measured amount of spiced rum. Pour in equal parts of lemon-lime soda, ginger ale and orange juice. Top off with grenadine. Stir. Garnish with a lemon wedge, lime wedge, and maraschino cherry.
Rum is a great summertime liquor that goes well with all natural juices and most carbonated beverages. This is a sure must for the home bar, especially in the heat of the season for your poolside parties. Hope you enjoy!
