Prime Pubs Introduces The Céilí Cold Fashioned, an Innovative Cocktail on Tap made with Guinness Draught Stout and Bulleit Bourbon Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey – New cocktail on tap celebrates the latest trends in Pub culture with a modern spin on the classic Old Fashioned

Prime Pubs is thrilled to announce the launch of its first exclusive signature cocktail on tap, the Céilí Cold Fashioned, now available at Fionn MacCool’s, Fionn’s, D’Arcy McGees, D’Arcy’s, Tir nan og, and Paddy Flaherty’s across Ontario and Manitoba. “We’re excited to be a part of Prime Pubs’ first signature cocktail on tap, bringing together two incredible brands – Guinness and Bulleit Bourbon – as part of an innovative and sustainable new menu offering for patrons,” said Mark Phillips, Director of Marketing at Diageo Canada. “Thanks to the team at Prime Pubs, The Céilí Cold Fashioned reflects a continued commitment to delivering unique and creative cocktail experiences.”

Céilí Cold Fashioned (CNW Group/Diageo)

Developed with Bulleit Bourbon Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey and Guinness Draught Stout, the innovative cocktail on tap is a modern-day riff on the classic Old Fashioned, showcasing an array of rich and robust flavours. Not only does the blend of Guinness Draught Stout, Bulleit Bourbon Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey and coffee pay homage to its Irish roots, but its name Céilí is the traditional Gaelic meaning for ‘traditional social gathering’, representing the true Pub experience.

“Our signature cocktail recipe was curated with a number of things in mind,” says Nathan Cameron Beverage Director, Recipe Unlimited. “We took the nostalgia of the Old Fashioned and paired it with Bulleit, Guinness—thought to be synonymous with Pub culture—then added a Canadian element with the addition of maple syrup. The cocktail is also nitrogenated, providing a velvety mouthfeel when it’s poured at the Pub.”

Real-World 6G Predictions are Here; The Next “G” Levels Up – Mobile Data Traffic to rise by factor of 170 over the next 14 years

Mobile Experts has released one of their popular Expert INSIGHTs, this time covering Predicted Profiles for 6G Traffic.

The report answers the question, “how long will mobile data growth continue at 40-50% per year?” and provides a peek at probable scenarios for 6G.

“We see the number of users at all levels rising over the next 15 years, as well as data usage per user. Increase in video and other rich formats will drive massive demand for quick, abundant data—but, how quick, and how abundant? This report provides answers, and maps out the data mountain the industry must climb to maintain growth,” commented Chief Analyst Joe Madden.

Real-World 6G Predictions are Here; The Next “G” Levels Up

As new VR and other rich media formats mature, Mobile Experts foresees an increase in data intensity. No counter-force is pushing the consumer to reduce their data consumption today, making a factor of 100x growth in data consumption not only reasonable but realistic.

“Today’s mix of fixed and mobile data will continue to migrate onto mobile devices for the next 15 years due to a combination of technology availability and human factors,” commented Chief Analyst Joe Madden. “People want convenience; now that the cost of mobile broadband is close enough to the cost of fixed broadband, many users don’t perceive a cost difference, and will drop their fixed connection in favor of a mobile-only strategy.”

One key issue addressed by this report is the rise of indoor data usage, and the ability for mobile networks to service high levels of capacity from outdoor infrastructure. Millimeter wave and Terahertz (THz) networks are expected in 6G, but a fundamental issue with indoor penetration will create a business-model issue related to deployment of indoor infrastructure. This report evaluates the level of indoor data, the use of Cognitive Radio (CR) techniques to utilize shared low-band spectrum, and applicability of mm-wave and THz spectrum.

Passion Tree Hard Seltzers is Making Unprecedented Movement in The Hard Seltzer Space – Out with the old and in with “The People’s Seltzer”

Passion Tree Hard Seltzers is committed to developing the perfect hard seltzer that’s crafted to be lightly carbonated, 5.5% ABV, gluten-free, and infused with 100% exotic all-natural fruit flavors from around the world.  Passion Tree has a goal to make a positive impact on planet earth by planting 50,000,000 million trees worldwide, so we made a promise to plant one tree for every case of Passion Tree Hard Seltzer sold.

Passion Tree has been dominating the San Diego market since their launch in June 2021. This weekend they will be available in over 12 Ralph’s locations and expected to be available in 20 Ralph’s locations by mid-August covering all of San Diego and up to the Carlsbad area.

Passion Tree Hard Seltzer

Passion Tree Hard Seltzers is just surpassing the market goals in their first 7 weeks and are continuing to knock them out of the park. This is an unprecedented movement by a brand-new company that is led by local consumer demand and heavy direct marketing techniques that have gotten the community behind the brand and the sales are here as proof. By the way they are San Diego based & brewed locally.

Here is that proof:

  • 7 weeks after Passion Tree Hard Seltzers initial launch in San Diego the brand got the approval for placement at Ralph’s the largest grocery chain in Southern California.
  • 24 hours after placement the product completely sold out at all Ralph’s and retail locations, incredible feat for any big brand let alone lead by 3 young 25-year-old co-founders
  • July 4th weekend Passion Tree out sold the top selling SKU’s of White Claw® & Truly® by a wide margin at multiple Ralph’s locations.

Fourth of July weekend is one high in sales for alcohol companies, especially hard seltzers. Here are some spectacular numbers around San Diego for Passions Tree’s Holiday sales (if they had more cases, they would have sold out of more at each location by each only had a certain amount):

Rob Sedgwick’s Memoir Is One Degree From Kevin Bacon

BOB GOES TO JAIL On Sale July 27th

Rob Sedgwick’s Memoir Is One Degree From Kevin Bacon

Rob Sedgwick was born into one of America’s oldest families and Manhattan royalty. His cousin, Edie Sedgwick, was Andy Warhol’s muse. His sister is Kyra Sedgwick, the actress; his brother is painter Nikko Sedgwick; his brother-in-law is movie star Kevin Bacon, and his stepfather was renowned art dealer Ben Heller, who pioneered the careers of Jackson Pollock and Mark Rothko. In his hilarious and touching memoir,  BOB GOES TO JAIL (Rare Bird Books, hardcover and e-book, on sale: July 27, 2021; $26.00; 9781644281086) Rob relates his journey from lost little boy to teenage alcoholic to inept criminal with honesty and heart.

In BOB GOES TO JAIL, Sedgwick—who had the drop-dead good looks of Robert Redford and the judgment of Keith Richards—recounts how the DEA and the NYPD caught him red-handed with 500 pounds of marijuana and arrested him. When his lawyer told him to get a steady job to show he was a contributing member of society, Sedgwick got a role playing a drug lord on ONE LIFE TO LIVE.

He writes about how he and his younger siblings brought themselves up in an Upper East Side Townhouse that was “bigger than all the other Upper East Side Townhouses.”  How he sold drugs out of his grandparents’ apartment, carelessly fathered a child, and did lines of cocaine off his parents’ priceless antiques.  Though you cringe at each bad decision—and there are so many—you can’t help but root for him.  BOB GOES TO JAIL is the story of an actor with a price on his head from a Mexican cartel. It’s the story of an emotionally abused stepson struggling with overnight wealth and stunning neglect.   It is the story of the search to find one’s place in the world.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

‘The Flight Of The Monarch Butterfly – The Pollinator Project’ To Air On Discovery, Science Channel And Animal Planet

Most known for their winter and spring migrations spanning more than 3,000 miles, the monarch butterfly is a small but key component to the ecosystem in terms of food and its role as a pollinator. “The Flight of the Monarch Butterfly – The Pollinator Project” will explore the latest science, learnings and the species’ survival issues in its world premiere Sunday, July 25 at 8:30 a.m. (ET/PT) on Discovery, Thursday, July 29 at 5 p.m. (ET/PT) on the Science Channel and Saturday, July 31 at 8 a.m. (ET/PT) on Animal Planet.

A Monarch Butterfly on Milkweed

With exclusive access arranged by the Mexican Minister of Tourism, the program highlights the monarchs’ dramatic journey throughout North America and examines scientists’ concerns about the species’ diminishing numbers due to pollution and climate fluctuations. It also addresses what the declining population could mean for the future of the broader ecosystem.

“Sustainability is at the heart of our decision making,” said Kevin Butt, Toyota Motor North America’s environmental sustainability director. “As we plan, build and manage our facilities across North America, we proactively learn about local species and study how to minimize the disruption of their natural habitats – environmental stewardship then helps drive a culture of conservation beyond our company walls.”

The program also examines what American companies have created in the pathway of the butterflies’ northern flight pattern – a habitat rich with milkweed plants – and issues a call to action for interested people to get involved through local and national clubs and organizations that make their journey easier.

Presented as one example helping to save, protect and nurture the monarch butterflies migration to North America, the program explores Toyota’s 17 pollinator gardens throughout its North American operations and shows how they provide food and shelter to critical pollinator species, including the monarch butterflies at various stages of their life cycle along the seasonal migration path.

Viewers will have the opportunity to see it on the following broadcasts. Check local listings:

Discovery:Sunday, July 25 at 8:30 a.m. (EDT & PDT)
Science Channel:Thursday, July 29 at 5 p.m. (EDT & PDT)
Animal Planet:Saturday, July 31 at 8 a.m. (EDT & PDT)

“The Flight of the Monarch Butterfly – The Pollinator Project” is produced by Bader Media Group for Discovery. Mike Leventhal is executive producer for Bader. Jay Foot served as producer/writer. Toyota funded the production.
