Super Festive Bowl Snacks

We are getting down to “crunch” time here in the kitchen for our Super Snacks for Game Day.  Quite a bit of planning goes into the list, deciding how much food to put in front of your crew and how much brew to stock in the fridge are always the top questions.   Answer:  There is no such thing as too much.

As I am making my lists and checking them numerous times I am sharing a few snacks with you that will hit our sofa and coffee tables this weekend.  I have pulled the recipes from my favs and I hope if you make one or a few of these, you will let me know how you and your crew liked them.

Guacamole is always on the list ~ seriously,   I could slather this stuff on everything.  There are quite a few variations of the recipe, I am printing the basic from Martha Stewart ~ where all good things begin.

One more from Martha to add  an additional touch of festivity is the Tequila Touchdown ~ I love the layered look and this recipe serves 8.

Can you go wrong with ribs?   Oh, never.  Country Living has an incredible recipe that is begging to sit on a platter in front of the boys this weekend.

Popping in and around Food Network is always a favorite of mine.  There are so many great chefs and talent that this site shifts around consistently that the recipes are ever changing and they stay in season and are up to the minute at all times.  I have pulled two that look too good to leave on the computer screen ~ they have to be served.

Philly Cheesesteaks with Melted Fontina and Sauteed Red Onions

Nachos seem to be a staple for almost every Game Day menu and I believe I would be skewered if I even thought of leaving them out.  This is a bit of a variation as it calls for ranch flavored tortilla chips and blue cheese as well as cheddar.  I cannot wait to devour this plate of flavor.

To kick it all up a notch I am thinking I will add a pitcher of Double-Rum Green Dragon.  Country Living added this recipe to their line-up which they in turn pulled from Redbook.  This one is sheeeer delight and serves 8.
