The perfect spring coffee treat.

Last spring TikTok brought us this whimsical, delicious whipped coffee trend, and as we break into a new year this toffee-colored whip is not only still relevant, it’s also simple to make at home.

We use an electric mixer but you can whisk by hand. Keep in mind if you use the manual method it’s a pretty good work out at 8 to 12 minutes, depending on how vigorous you are.

Dalgona Coffee


  • 2 Tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons instant coffee
  • 2 Tablespoons cold water
  • ice for serving
  • milk for serving


  1. In a medium bowl, combine sugar, coffee and water. Hand whisk or mix with mixer, until the coffee foam turns smooth and shiny, then continue until foam is thick and holds it’s “foamy” shape.
  2. Fill glass about 3/4 full or more with ice and milk, drop (dollop) and swirl whipped coffee on top to serve.
