Simple, delicious compound butters are perfect companions for summertime dishes.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- dash salt, to taste
- 1 Tablespoon fresh herbs, minced
Choose your faves! Basil and parsley or rosemary, thyme and sage ~ the combinations are endless.
Our choice for our Naked Corn on the Cue is:
Ingredients
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- dash salt, to taste
- sprinkling pepper
- lime zest
- Cilantro, minced
Directions
Using a spatula, combine well and spoon onto wax paper. Roll into a log, secure ends and chill at least 2 hours.
Note
A crumbling of cheese, blue or Parmesan works well for meat dishes. When creating your own flavor profiles, use more of what you like, less of what you don’t. Twist and tweak, make it all your own.
